Toyota 1000

As a big Toyota fan and a KP30 owner myself, I have spent a lot of time looking for info, builds, tips, what works and what doesn’t. Turn out there isn’t a lot of kp30 stuff out there, and by not a lot I mean nothing! The one and only site I did find was Hiro CY and luckily it is amazing!

This page is full of cool info, parts and follows the build of HIWAY NO KAMOSHIKA, a MK1 69 K30 with an up-righted 5K motor. Check it out!

The build up can be found HERE

There is some info on the TOM’S 3K-R

There are also Events and friends cars pics!

Hakosuka

As the world goes mad for the new R35 I’m going to bring you some (more) old skool skyline flavour!

Check out this vid of a KPGC10 at Fuji. Listen to that S20 motor. Best engine sound ever.

Here is a cool vid with Dai Chan checking out stock and modified examples of Skylines;

Tanetane92

One of the holy grails of J car links. Tanenane92 has it all from Bosozoku to GT racers. Enjoy!

Here is “that” KPGC10 Pictured down the page (with me sat in it!!!) at the 2005 Nismo festival at Fisco.

This stunning car was fully rebuilt from the ‘shell up in Japan, by an ex-Nismo engineer in time for the 2005 Nismo festival. The car was invited by no less than Nismo themselves, who even had a hand in the final paint scheme, requesting the car be painted with the ‘Works’ style blue sections. The car wore the number 15, symbolising the car that took the GT-R’s 50th race win at Fisco on 20th March 1972, piloted by Takahashi Kunimitsu.

Fabulous Darling

OK, so you have made it and your Ferrari 430 just isn’t cutting it in the golf club car park anymore. Hit up Fabulous for the works; Aero, suspension and wheels. Now your killing it and you can ziptie a spare set of clubs to the wing.

Also available for your Life Dunk, for those who don’t have money falling out of their asses!

Stretch & Poke

Next time your friendly local tyre fitter starts flipping out telling you he can’t fit that 215 to 9″ rim, show him this. 185×60 on an 11″. That’s right 11″. Fetch the hairspray, I’m going in!!

Pussies

Well big cats actually. I have spent every day for the last 18 months surrounded by Jags and have found myself pretty uninspired. OK, so they are pretty nice cars, in a kind of mahogany grandfather clock meets Victorian gentleman’s smoking room kinda way, but no one ever seems to do anything with them. That’s where J-Complete comes in. A VIP tuner that specialises in Jags, Check out some of these XJ’s; Baller Status confirmed.

Oh yeah, I will let you into a little secret. If you are driving an X350 chassis XJ you can take it to your dealer, plug it into the diagnostic computer and drop the suspension. No excuse for riding high when you have air bags factory fitted. And while you’re there get some decent wheels. Remember, offset is everything.

53.589

I’m not usually a grip fan, but I can’t help but be blown away by the HKS CT230R. It holds the current lap record at Tsukuba, a blistering 53.589 seconds. The driver is the one and only NOB Taniguchi. Total legend. His style is so fast and smooth the car never even looks fast from the outside.

Check out a vid of the lap HERE

I found a really good article on Turbo Magazine
